Saturday 23rd March, the EXITEMENTS, Band on the Wall

Went to see the the Exitements, accompanied by Steve Plant & Susie, been looking forward to see-ing this group,

Femail singer very much like early Tina Turner sound, big funky backing band, great venue, What a disappointment,

didn't really do it for us, to much like a Ike & Tina Tuner Tribute act


Sunday 23rdMarch, Northern soul & R&B @ the Ship & Anchor, Southport

Was originally going to go to Heaven in the Afternoon, Clitheroe but there was no trains again so decided to go to Southport to an event I saw on Soul Source, found the venue but was nobody there so didn't stay, heard about another event in Southport the same afternoon at the Ship & Anchor so went searching for it, a back street of Lord Street, Me & Norman Had a great afternoon Great northern soul & R&B all played on vinyl, cheap beer & nice people,

Sunday 30th March, Legion of Soul, Walkden

Fist time at this venue, went with Ken Waghorn, Steve Bradshaw & Norman Hennis , (thanks ken for Driving)

Had a fantastic Sun afternoon, love the venue, friendly bar staff, nice people great tunes big wooded dance floor


Friday 11th April, The Selecter, Band on the wall, M/C

What a great nite, The Selecter were amazing, really enjoyed there music, uptempo Ska & To-tone, never seen this venue so full
